Now we are in the heart of Winter, but we have already passed the midpoint. In two weeks, the rites of Imbolc will be upon us, celebrating the certainty of life returning. We prepare now for initiation and dedication.
Seed catalogs beckon as the promise of Springtime whispers to us, even now, in the deep freeze of this season.
This is the time for cultivating awareness.
It is perfect for dreaming, setting intentions, opening to guidance. Reinforced by the current influence of Mercury retrograde, we are forced to slow down and back-track.
There is a gift in this deepest dark, for it is here that we are called to stop. Consider. Review. And shine the light of insight into the Mystery ahead.
The God Janus, for whom this month is named, looks back at the same time He looks forward. This is the wisdom offered us now. The stars, and the time, and the magic are all aligned for us to do this.
Now that the New Year has had some time to settle in, this is the ideal moment to reflect, revise, and then plan for the new growth that is coming, just beyond this dark before the dawn.
Where have we been? What would we change if we could? What new life is stirring in this dark womb of Winter? What is calling to us? How do we best walk forward, forging a future we truly desire?
We are on the threshold of profound change in our world, in our lives, in our age.
Let’s join together, you and I, to make our new path ahead one of consciousness, compassion, and enlightened transformation.
